Night of Lights
Life's been extremely rough on me lately, and so my time and energy for online stuff became extremely limited. Sorry about that. Here's a rather quick painting I did a while ago for iRO's Halloween loading screen contest; the theme was the different ways to celebrate the day of the dead, so I decided to use something from my own country's tradition, mixed up with RO's universe. In Poland, we light special votive candles and place them on our loved ones' graves. On the All Saints' Day evening especially, each cemetery is just brimming with the glow of hundreds of lights - it's an absolutely stunning and magical sight. I figured that in Midgard, Horongs, Gajomarts and Lichterns could provide the lights and colors, to make for an ever more mystical display. I didn't have a lot of time to dedicate to working on this picture, so I opted for trying out a rougher, more painterly style. All in all, I'm pretty happy with it - and I got in the top 5, too!
