Why do you love Sunrises Aloy?
From Horizon: The Adventures of Aloy and Beta opening.
It was very early in the morning, the birds start to sing, the Sunwings start coming out to feel the warm sun on their wings, Aloy is awake and quietly sneaking outside so she doesnât wake her sleeping sister. Aloy doesnât tell anyone but she loves to watch the sunrise, she does try to come in before Beta wakes up because she doesnât really want anyone to know. Itâs kind of her little secret that she wants to keep to herself. She walked out into the cold air and took a deep breath in, a slight breeze blew on her face, she lifted her head and then exhaled, she slightly shivered at the cold air but then sat down near the edge of the cliff, waiting for the sun.
Beta woke up to the sound of Soren banging on the door to the base, he wanted to go outside cause the sun was coming up. âAlright alright Iâll let you out Sorenâ Beta said. When she opened the door, Soren bolted out and headed straight for a cliff to charge his solar panel wings, Beta noticed that Aloy was sitting atop a cliff by herself, even though Beta wanted to fall back asleep she went up there to see what her sister was doing, *is this where she is in the mornings* Beta thought to herself. So, she walked up.
âHey Aloyâ Beta greeted. Aloy jumped slightly, sheâs used to being up here alone. âOh! Hey Betaâ Aloy replied and scooted over so Beta could sit down with her, âSo this is where you are early in the mornings huh? I figured youâd be up hunting or exploringâ Beta said chuckling. âHehâŚYeahâŚbut truth is I like to come up here andâŚwatch the sunriseâŚI wanted it to be a secret but the secrets out I guess now that youâre hereâ Aloy told Beta. âAloyâŚwhy would you want it to be a secret? You just like to watch the sunrise itâs not a big dealâ Beta said, âWellâŚI donât know I guess I just donât share my soft side that often is whyâŚIâm still not used to itâ Aloy said.
âWell can I tell you a secret Aloy?âŚI love watching the sunsetsâ Beta told Aloy. Who knew that her sister liked watching the opposite of what she loved to watch, âbut I guess my question isâŚwhy do you love the sunrise Aloy?â Beta asked. âWell⌠it reminds me of Rost..andâŚour mom..Elisabet. I donât know why but it just doesâŚit makes me feel like Iâm being watched over by them, I like to think they are watching their daughters live and protect each otherâ Aloy said with a small smile. Beta immediately hugged Aloy after saying that sentence, slightly tearing up at what she said about themselves and how she hopes that their parents are watching them.
âAloyâŚIâŚsorry Iâm just glad you told me thatâŚIâm glad you view them as our parents and they are watching over us as we speak, I love you AloyâŚ.youâre the best big sister I could ever ask forâ Beta said sniffling and hugging Aloy. âI love you too Beta your the best little sisterâ Aloy said. And the two sisters watched the sunrise together, and decided from now on they accompany each other in these moments of beauty. Aloy wrapped one arm around Beta and then leaned her head against hers, âIâm glad I wonât have to do this alone anymoreâŚitâs nicer when you have a sister to be with you in these momentsâ Aloy said.
âYesâŚI agree with that Aloyâ Beta replied.
