My drow has a favorite candy that is now a canon underdark treat in our D&D game.
So idk how many of you are familiar with or have even heard of horehound candy. It's a very divisive flavor like black licorice in that you either like it or you hate it. It's over powering and bitter like if you put too much vegemite on your toast.
If you suck on it too much it tastes like sharp herbal bug spray. If you let it dissolve slowly in your mouth it becomes uniquely interesting. No part of it is sweet. I like it even though I recognize it's actually not very good because it puzzles my brain with its weird flavor.
Anyway, I saw some at a tiny local candy shop and instantly bought it cause it was the second time in all my 32 years of living that I've actually seen it. No one in my D&D group has heard of horehound before and I'm bringing it to our next session in a month or so for an in-character sharing moment.
My little drow is going to be so excited to share her favorite treat with her new friends and they are going to hate it :)
