I’ve been a Jhene Aiko supporter for a while now. Way before she made the song “The Worst” or more recently when she had the “eat the booty like groceries” line. Happy that she’s getting recognition now. Some people dislike her because of her soft voice but I think that’s what makes her special. You can feel every line when she’s speaking. She recently released a new song called “B’s and H’s” and a joint EP with rapper Big Sean “Twenty88”. She continues to build of her sound and her storytelling ability from the perspective of a female. You can tell she’s a little crazy, I mean she is from Slauson, but that’s what I love about her.

Hope Wright is a rapper from Compton. Back in 2011 he released his mixtape “Believe in Hope Wright” but has been quiet since. Recently he’s begun releasing more music and he hasn’t lost a step. I could see him being one of the top West Coast rappers right now if he had continued but hey he’s back doing what he does best so I can’t complain. His new song “Outgrew You” shows his growth as a person by admitting his faults with friendships and relationships.

I recently started listening to Marc E. Bassy. My friend Kool Bazz put me on to him and I immediately knew he would be perfect for Sunday Night Vibes. The song “You & Me” is the perfect summer vibes songs. It’s a mix between R&B and Pop with some Reggae influences. This song fits in perfectly with your “One Dance” playlist. First chance I get I’m blasting this song on the beach somewhere. Head over to Genius and see him explain the meaning of his lyrics in the song.
