Went through chrome://flags/ and hunted down EVERYTHING to do with AI and data stealing. Heeere's what I found! :D
1- glic (gemini live in chrome) is where the majority of the ACTUAL ai stuff is stored, and often doesn't use 'ai' specifically in the description. Or even 'gemini'. Just 'glic.'
2- searching 'gemini' will get you a lot more.
3- 'AI' and 'WebNN' should get the last bit. Turning off the 'ntp-composebox' should get it out of search, too!
Most of the ai features don't have the words 'ai' or 'neural network' in them, and don't LOOK like ai features unless you google what the names mean. Naturally everythings down quite low on the list, too.
Examples, images, and some further notes below cut.
So, these won't be all of them, but you SHOULD be able to find everything with the main searches above! I can't fit more than like 10-20 images in a post and I would likely need more.
The omnibox is the main search bar. Disabling things to do with AI and such here should make searches free of All That.
Gemini nano is a lil AI model that uses YOUR GPU to run. It downloads itself and just slurps up everything. There's a LOT of things to turn off for it
Ignoring the ones in the middle below,
Disabling these means that Google cant just steal your data when it comes to stuff you're paying for, (there is a setting to do number reducing normally LOL) and the latter can force ai down your throat at whim. Disable it since it's on 'default' by default which means it can be off or on at any given time.
GLIC. God there's a LOT of settings here. Images shown are only like 1/3rd of the total things. Disable as you feel like, the ones I have untouched are ones that don't particularly matter/wouldn't affect things. Image 2 is doubly important bc AI mode stuff takes a TON of ram.
And finally!
The WebNN stuff just. Eats your data and feeds it to the AIs. That's really it. Nothing but ram and data theft.
In settings - AI innovations, you miight wanna turn off these, too.
In settings - System, this also reaally oughta be off.
If for some reason turning ALLL This off still doesn't take AI out of chrome entirely, use an extension I guess, but it does wayyy lessen how much ram is being used for me at least.
If you're looking for an extension, this one still works to take AI outa search. Not the only one but it works for me rn.
And of course Ublock remains king, no matter how badly chrome wants it dead.
Heard good things about Pie, needs vetting tho.
Also- If after doing this in one big chunk, you restart chrome and it just wont launch again, all you gotta do is go grab the downloader and redownload, let it open automatically. Basically force update it. Admittedly this probably happened to me because I grabbed the auto updaters in app and in computer settings and strangled them. Haven't updated it in about 3 months and have not needed to till now.

Sorry, I haven’t started the next whump prompt yet. Busy week. However, tomorrow I need to get the AC of my car checked out and eventually they repair it right away and I will take my netbook with me because I have to burn two hours then.
