You can use breaks and reversals to save your hoop when you're learning how to shoulder hoop in both directions. The break acts as the same and the reversal launches your hoop in one direction. If you can't sustain shoulder hooping yet, this could help you out. But you have to consciously make the effort to push your chest forward once the hoop starts revolving around your chest. #clairhoopdance #hoopdance #hoopdancetips #hoopnerd

A simple hoop sequence. Pass the hoop around your body then hold your hoop upright to step through it. After that you could pass the hoop around your body again but flip it as you pass it (orbital or helicopter as it is often called). These moves all involve holding the hoop. Short #hoopdance sequence : waist hoop, flip hoop back into a butterfly, lasso, put it on to your shoulders and do outside breaks with hands then pinch breaks, then lift the hoop up and do a vortex.
