It was a Meant To Be entry that involved a lot of violence against Jared. Well written although the endgame J2 was top!Jared. Since it started when they were young, that would have placed the story starting in the 80′s-90′s but I don’t think the time period played a part in it (I did only read this once, however). I’m not sure this is what they were looking for, but let’s put it out there and see.

Jared is an injured kid wandering down the side of the road the first time Jensen meets him. He brings Jared back to Baby's, his father's diner, to help. As they grow up, they become close friends, but just when Jensen is beginning to realize his feelings for Jared may be more than friendly, Jared disappears.

Years later, Jared returns to his diner, but he's not alone. Every night, he comes in escorted by a different john, and Jensen quietly aches for the boy he fell in love with.

Jensen Ackles is thirty years old and he’s never been with a man before. When he finally works up the nerve to try it out, he thinks picking up a hooker from the street will keep things from getting too complicated. No part of him is ready for the slightly broken Jared and the boy’s wishes for a life he could never have.

This is not a drill, I repeat, this is NOT A DRILL. I think i have a new favorite hooker fic. I KNOW. I can't make a definitive decision because i just read this and am currently melted. And piles of melt can't make decisions... obvi.
