I haven’t seen Valerian yet (but I clearly need to), but looking at some stills and clips from the movie, yES!! it’s very much a Vegas-feel, but more than Vegas, otherwordly and beyond our time. it’s a world where being an escort or hiring an escort isn’t so much of a taboo as it is. a sign of elitism? it’s very class-based and almost like a fairytale to people outside of big cities.
like I said, I’m still working it all out in my head? and I still don’t know where Jared fits in entirely? I mean, his role, in general, is pretty straightforward, but as for a plot beyond all of that I’m???

oh, thank you! I do enjoy that tag immensely myself, but I’m definitely biased :) it’s a big mix of colors and bold makeup and gold and glitter and neon lights right now and that’s kind of basis of him. as for if I have any plans, not really? I mean, I don’t think I’ll be writing him anytime soon, but I have thought about him a lot, I always always do, and I think the more days go by, the better grasp I get on him. hooker probably isn’t the best term, escort would be much more accurate, and the setting is a futuristic world, not really dystopian but almost alien. as much as I think I’m understanding the Jensen of this world more, I really don’t know where Jared fits right now so that’s why I continue to wait. maybe one day that golden boy will get to see the written page <3

glitter is what brought him to life, actually! I’ve wanted to write a hooker or an escort fic for quite some time, have never had anything to inspire it though, but I fell in love with the idea of jensen and gold glitter, and well, I now have this story in my head about it all. there are a lot of things to work out with it and god knows if I’ll ever write it, but glitter is what created him 💕

Jensen nearly swallows his tongue when hot guy sidles up and says he'll pay double Jensen's going rate if he agrees to leave right the fuck now. Jensen's more than a little peeved that the guy thinks he's a hooker, but when he names an outrageous price off the top of his head, and the guy agrees without blinking an eye, he feels all his insecurities vanish. At least until a few months later when he realizes he may be in love with his one and only regular.
This is my second favorite mistaken for a hooker fic (my favorite being the amazing Indigo which I have a PDF of if anyone is interested but I can't find online). Jensen freaking out about being mistaken for a hooker is adorable and Jared is... yum but also sweet. I don't know why I love this trope so, but I do. Enjoy!
