Okay, time for one of the shortest reviews for a video game I've ever done.
Hook by Maciej Targoni is a fun little untangling/order of operations puzzle game that has been one of my tactile treat games that I return to just to fiddle with sometimes. It basically looks like this:
Click buttons to retract and remove sticks in the right order so they don't catch on one another, flip switches so that your button inputs don't cause the wrong hook to retract. Extremely basic but the type of thing that hits the same satisfaction as untying a knot.
If this is for you (this is either your exact jam or your personal hell with almost no in between) this game is amazing and you'll enter a zen state as you blitz through its levels.
If this game is for you, it's important for you to grab not just it, but it's sequel, Hook 2, but you need to do one very important thing and not look up a single thing about the second game.
I'm serious, if this kind of thing is for you, buy the double pack off steam or itch and don't even look at the screenshots for the second game. Just trust me, it's the same mechanics, and you'll want more by the time you finish game 1.
If you do that, then this small little duology of puzzle games will cause your jaw to drop. For those who do spoil themselves and are wondering why I'm hyping it up so much, you need to know that Hook 2 does not tell you what it's going to do at all and it hits like a freight train after luring you in to a false sense of expectation.
