❝ heard you've been dealing with some type of supernatural stuff. run into any witches and wizards yet ? ❞ is his greeting in lieu of a normal one, perched on a low building's roof just above jason's head. dick probably could've gone to bruce for help for this, but seeing as he heard that it's been more prevalent in crime alley, who better to go than his dear brother ? ❝ something similar's been happening in bludhaven, and i was wondering you had any insights you'd feel like sharing. ❞

mr.  poor  hygiene,  as  dick  had  taken  to  calling  him  in  his  head,  hits  the  sodden  cobbles  at  his  feet  before  he’d  even  had  the  chance  to  follow  through  on  his  blow  &  wing  immediately  tenses.  shoulders  tight  as  the  shrill  crackle  of  electricity  that  burns  &  pops  at  the  end  of  his  escrima  stick  continues  to  illuminate  the  shabby  little  alleyway.  dick  sucks  at  his  teeth  &  kills  the  switch,  plunging  them  both  back  into  the  cover  of  night. 

“what?  didn’t  think  i  could  handle  it  on  my  own?”  it’s  misplaced,  directed  more  at  himself  for  needing  the  save  in  the  first  place,  than anything  else  &  he  knows  it.  hopes  @hoodred  knows  it  too.   a  sigh  rips  from  him  &  he  steps  over  mr.  gross’  unconscious  body.  “anyways”  dick  starts,  while  dropping  into  a  crouch  next  to  sir  unsanitary.  where  he  starts  disarming  the  guy  lest  he  rouses   before  the  bcpd  show  up  to  escort  him  to  his  new  living  arrangements.  “not  like  you  to  show  up  in  my  neck  of  the  woods.  to  what  do  i  owe  the  pleasure?”  he  pauses  then,  the  domino  arching  with  an  eyebrow  as  his  gaze  snaps  in  the  vague  direction  of  his  younger  brother.  “it’s  nothing  too  bad,  right?” 

"  orrr...  are  you  someone  people  might  recognize  if  you  took  the  mask  off?  "  that  was  definitely  the  most  intriguing  option  of  the  three  to  her,  but  she  was  doubtful  he'd  divulge  that  information  easily.  "  c'mon,  red.  i  can  be  trusted...  usually.  "

he hadn't expected this out of the other , BROODING AND FISTS YES , this though not really. and he knows that he should let it be but why not have a good laugh in the midst of all the things they're going through . " ah so you ( @hoodred) like to be called a good boy . " he points his gaze down on the other. fingers pinching at jason's clothes as though picking through sludge . " do you wanna be told that your a hero - the best of the best ? the great red - hood ?" he circles around jason now - close enough to PEEL HIM APART BUT FAR ENOUGH TO NOT GET HIT. " do you want me to tell you that your so perfect robin batman should have never let you go ? is that what you need to feel like a man ?"

There was plenty of other scenic rooftops to perch. Too many bat themed heroes that were too territorial for his taste. He’d rather stay closer to New York but he was at the whim of Avenger’s payroll and a high risk escaped criminal.
