i ate an honestberry to tell you the truth

a lesson in creating art i still need to get better about is figuring out the difference between honesty and maturity in the art you create. if you really want the art you create to age gracefully, it helps to try and picture yourself as the bad guy and see if there are any biases holding back whatever it is you’re trying to create. then adapt that work into something that addresses and works to rectify whatever internal difficulties you’ve identified. i think that you will probably end up being happier not only with the art you create but also with yourself in the end.

idk it kinda rubs me the wrong way seeing other usamericans trying to paint everything the US is doing as just “distractions from the epstein files.” all thats accomplishing is diminishing how terrible the heinous shit that the administration is doing rn really is. bitch, how hard is it to understand that the president is a pedophile and a greedy capitalist white supremacist? hes not invading venezuela and declaring war on iran and unpersoning immigrants just as some sort of last ditch effort to distract that he’s a pedophile. everyone already knows he is. hes just ALSO trying to do an ethnic cleansing and get as much oil as he can. more than one thing can be true at once. this is all deliberate.

please stop trying to decry all the really out-there contemporary art pieces that you don’t have a shred of patience to try and understand as “not art.” all you’re doing with that is being a little bitch and enabling fascism. nobody’s asking you to like it, but attempts at delegitimizing it only serve to quietly censor art in a digestible way for the general public and pave the way for somebody to come by and enforce strict rules of art’s “purity” and “value,” which if you don’t know is a great way to marginalize artists who the establishment wants to keep quiet.

I can't look at my "For You" tab because my fragile psyche can barely handle a good take from this site, let alone a terrible one.
