random question , what made you start liking this ship ? i 'm kind of curious ... i totally see their dynamic , they 're so sweet and match so perfectly !
Not random at all! 💖 I don’t recall the exact origins because it was five years ago now (what the hell??) but I can try and rummage through my brain.
I think it was looking at the interactions and the idea of Leo/Need interacting with Shizuku is what made me consider the possibility of the ship in the first place. Because at the least, the two most definitely knew each other to some extent within childhood and likely got along then, just like the rest of the band.
Then the idea of:
“Oh, Shizuku (in a way) has some of the same struggles as Honami. That’s kind of sweet,” came.
Then:
“They definitely talk a lot of the beautification committee, so most likely they have a ton of shared stories and overshared a few times.”
Then:
“They have similar traits but are different enough to be two different people, and their flaws and weaknesses complement the other’s strength extremely well.”

“ShihoHona is also a really popular ship for good reason. That would be interesting if Honami had an unrequited love towards Shizuku while Shiho liked Honami... She would likely notice Shiho acting a little bit differently towards her, and then she would feel intense guilt for not reciprocating those feelings and purposely act oblivious while accidentally hurting Shiho without realising it. That would be a crazy arc for her to navigate— if it’s okay for her to be selfish or if she should continue suppressing her feelings for her best friend’s sake. Plus learning that ignoring a problem/feeling isn’t going to make it go away, and sometimes it just better to face the conflict head on than cause long term pain and grievances.”
