Like stated, Sheās a former housecat and her past owners liked aesthetics more than the general well being of their cat.
She managed to get out when she was barely 5 months old then was chased by a loose dog and found herself into the forest.
It was a miracle that a patrol found her before a coyote did, Jayfire at the head.
She was immediately brought to camp and treated for her condition with no success, all the while dealing with her hostility and her tendency to bite whoever got close to her except Jayfire.
She was made a cadet late due this and basically demanded that she wanted Jayfire to trained her but by that time Tigerpaw had been given to xem.
Most foundlings go unclaimed but Stonepelt and Weedwhisker took her in and officially adopted her as theirs, which in turn technically made her Jayfireās cousin which made her happy.
Weedwhisker spent an entire moon sewing cuffs that would help Frostpaw walk, it wouldnāt stop the pain but at least she could move around.
She was given to a strict mentor in Twigleg who didnāt seem to understand that sometimes Frostpaw couldnāt get up some days due to chronic pain. It got to a point where her pads would bleed and she nearly broke her leg when Jayfire stepped in.
She at first denied it because she didnāt want to trouble Jayfire or Tigerpaw but they were having none of it.
She took over her training with Tigerpawās support and they made an entire schedule and training method that worked for Frostpaw.
It had been Tigerpawās idea for the fox teeth in her cuffs and she was ever grateful.
It had finally to the point in a cadetās final assessment: duel your mentor. Frostpaw debrief wanting to duel Jayfire, that was an honor for Tigerpaw, she called for Twigleg.
The smug molly mocked her and told her she had better not embarrass herself.
She didnāt.
She absolutely rocked Twiglegās shit with their family cheering on.
They earned her name that day and would never let anyone forget it.
Sheās capable but that doesnāt mean her disability doesnāt affect her day to day.
It hurts to walk and she canāt leave her nest sometimes for days. Itās difficult for her to do basic things at times and she couldnāt do most of the career paths in her guild aside from being a nurse or soldier. She still has trust issues and still has thoughts of being a burden.
But, she does what sheās able and thatās okay. She had the support of her family and drive to keep going and let some of her walls down and thatās what matters.
