For names that relate to either disabilities/deformities/scars/injuries, it's mainly a mixed bag but the general consensus is, if the cat themselves requested it, they can be named that way.

Names of this nature are usually regarded as something honorable only if it's by choice by the warrior in question.

Halftail is one such example, after losing his tail, Sparrowpelt wanted to be renamed Halftail as the loss of his tail was due to defending the clan from a wayward badger.

Brokentail is another but his reasoning was because he didn't like being called 'Branch–'.

In this AU, with Daffodilkit (Stormkit) having the early accident and listening to a warrior talk about these names in a bid to cheer him up, requested to be renamed Crookedpaw upon becoming an apprentice and later on becoming Crookedjaw.

i was thinking about tigerstar x brokenstar as a ship, and then this happened

i don't have a name for this guy, but i was thinking of something more "harmless" sounding. i think he would be a villain (yeah yeah i know, another dark brown tabby tom villain), but the best way i can describe how i think his personality would be is like... wind waker ganondorf. if that makes any sense

if his eyes look a little weird, that's intentional! he's supposed to be blind, so i tried to draw him with big, light-colored pupils and kind of wonky eyes. i would like to mention that his blindness is NOT some sort of punishment or whatever from starclan because of brokenstar and tigerstar's crimes, or of anything he himself has done/will do. he's just normal blind.

he definitely takes after brokenstar far more than tigerstar, with the only things he really got from tigerstar being the eyeliner (bc i like giving that to all of tigerstar's kids), ear spots, ear tufts, and extra toes. other than that, he looks a lot like brokenstar (it's not really obvious bc i didn't give him brokenstar's mustache, but he also has a flat face)

i don't think that tigerstar would ever openly claim him as one of his kits, and i don't think most people would assume him to be related to tigerstar anyways due to him looking more similar to brokenstar. i think people would assume his other parent is one of brokenstar's supporters that left shadowclan with him (maybe blackstar, especially due to the extra toes since blackstar is canonically polydactyl). i think he would eventually learn that tigerstar is his other parent, but it would at the very least be after tigerstar's death. i think he'd either get pulled into the dark forest in his dreams or die and go there and then either brokenstar or tigerstar himself would wind up mentioning that fact for whatever reason. but yeah i think that he'd grow up thinking that his parents were brokenstar and someone else (again, possibly blackstar) only for it later to be revealed that his other parent is tigerstar
