I started writing again… or at least attempting to write and it’s for this fun little universe. I’m excited to revisit these two a year later. Hoping to have it posted before the end of the year… that’s the plan at least.

Wasn’t able to get this little one shot ready in time for Christmas but it’s close to being done. So I’m now aiming to have it posted sometime before the new year. Here’s a little snippet that nobody asked for 🎄

I had all these plans to write this Dave thing and get it out for Christmas and then before the New Year. But in all honesty, life has been a bit of a mess. My entire house has been sick since Xmas Eve. And in the last week, my mom, grandpa and grandma have all been to the hospital. My mom and grandma are doing better. My grandpa came home yesterday and was placed on hospice and they gave us the possibility of two weeks left with him. So writing really hasn’t been a priority for me as of now. I’m so sorry I wasn’t able to get this out like I planned, but I’m still working on it and will have it done at some point. Xoxo

“What’s this?? Looks like we forgot to pass out one more gift.” You hold up the small package, shaking it lightly as you cross the room until you’re standing in front of Dave. Your teeth sinking into your bottom lip, failing to suppress your budding smile as you flip the gold foiled tag around to read what’s written aloud. “Says it’s to ‘Dave York- a devastatingly handsome man and exceptional kisser’. From ‘Your Not So Secret Santa’.”  “It definitely doesn’t say that.” Dave laughs. His hands wrap around the backs of your thighs, pulling you in closer to him.  You bend down, placing a kiss to Dave’s lips, while simultaneously pressing the small box against his chest until he reaches for it. “It definitely does.”  Dave shakes the box next to his ear. His eyes narrow slightly at you when he’s met with silence. You can feel your heartbeat your throat as you watch him turn the box over several times, as if it’s a magic 8-ball and the contents of the box will reveal itself— outlook good. “I thought we said no gifts. We agreed we were going to take the girls to New York this year instead. Surprise them with the tree lighting, ice skating and that broadway show they’ve been begging to see— Witched.” “It’s actually called Wicked. And yes, we did agree to that. But I couldn’t help myself. It’s just a little something. Plus, according to our bank statement, there was a random purchase made at a jewelry store last month… my favorite jewelry store, to be exact. So it feels like we both ignored our agreement.”
