I brushed the ink on with paintbrushes, generously, but just the tips. This worked super well (inspired by UK farmers' youtube tutorials)

I let each hit bounce rather than pressing it in. this also went super well for getting clear marks

seems like a hard, confident hit is the most important thing; the two with missing dots were palpably weak hits

I did a few hits with no ink on a practice girl two weeks before, and one practice hit on the day. This was *very* helpful in calibrating how hard to hit and building muscle memory

I had missed painting a few pins on one hit, but dabbed ink into the wound right away, and they're indistinguishable from the others

good UK suppliers: allagri were super helpful for slapper stuff, and I dressed with clearfilm from Medisave (good for general medfet)

cleaning and prepping between hits was super time and energy-consuming. had help and really needed it

un-inked hit followed by impact on the wound is a good time :)
