Background and visual frame working.
Week 2 12/17/14
Well, I just spent about three hours getting a simple background to render. That said, the text adventure is now just beyond the threshold and is no longer limited to the realm of printed messages in the console, yay! Nevermind that its only one, tiny, infinitesimal baby-step through. Gotta start somewhere though!
To be absolutely fair, I'm piggybacking pretty hard off the back of codeskulptor's simplegui module- actually developing the code to display a frame on my own is well past my ability at this time. Looking ahead, I'm not positive I will always want to use simplegui's canvas to display this game- and at some point I'll have to rebuild the visual elements of the code to work in a different compiler. For now though, this will be good practice- and it will get the job done.
