@jal_japanairlines spoiling us on JL2 HND/SFO. We woke up like this, ha! This is it, my (hopefully and better be) last flight and trip of the year. I thought that my October trip to Indonesia was the final one for 2016, but this work trip to Tokyo came up as a surprise. Now, @dbucky and I always try to come with any excuses to revisit our old stomping ground for six years (we happily lived there in 2002-2008) but when a more legit reason comes up, it's all the better. Thank you again to @junko.matsuhisa and @horikazu1001 for their invaluable help with work in Tokyo; to my wonderful former students @koichirotakagi and Ieda Tadao with @hisakoieda and @satomika who have set aside time to meet me. On this Thanksgiving Day, I'm grateful for my parents who had prepared me for life's challenges and my siblings and their families who support me unconditionally; but my deepest gratitude goes to beloved David, who's been a wonderful companion for over two decades.
