Gman went back in time essentially to snatch her up and put her in stasis, and this takes her away from Gordon and Eli at the moment he originally died. We play as alyx being taken at 19 years old with the memories and experiences she has up to that point, but when gman took her, is the version of her that's in stasis have the memories of her 24 year old self?
are there multiple versions of her sustained at different times? Will her memories merge when she exits stasis? When gman took her, she didn't know who Gordon was. But she did know him when Eli almost died. So.

I don't know exactly what being in stasis is like for them. I assume at a certain point they are made unconscious, and when brought out of stasis, they are woken back up. I think their experiences with gman in the void are experienced fairly shortly, and when things fade to black for the player, that's the character really going unconscious?
I also understand that we probably aren't supposed to think this hard about it, but it's more fun this way.
