At the #ruinsara lake. This is my final post on the #HKDR #harkidunruinsara #trek series. In many ways I am thankful to be able to see this. The #tonsriver starts close to here, it is the biggest tributary of the #yamuna. Every year the glaciers melt at a rate faster than their replenishment. How long before these eternal waters become dependent of our capricious monsoons? Further, the Yamuna is a river that is dead for all practical purposes, just ask the people around Delhi. The mountains birth the rivers and send them off to the plains into slavery and death at our hands. Climate change is real, pollution is real. You cannot wish it away, you cannot take nature for granted, it is hubris that the riches of this planet are available to us for ever. #hiking #trekking #uttarakhand #indiahikes #prisma #latergram (at Ruinsara Tal) https://www.instagram.com/p/B3M0yZipMKO/?igshid=1i5uyutsfuw5b
