WELCOME TO THE KEY & CROWN â ( main floor )
FIGHT NIGHT is every SECOND SATURDAY, but you can find small matchups each week throughout the month â check the calendar pinned to the notice board for scheduling. itâs posted beside the door to the menâs room. thereâs a floor-level ring set up downstairs. bring your own gloves. wrap is available upon request.
CARD NIGHT is every TUESDAY. the front of the pub is roped off for a game of HIGH STAKES POKER and impromptu games of blackjack are run by our manager, Peg OâConner, around the bar.
BY POPULAR DEMAND there is now a KARAOKE / OPEN MIC NIGHT scheduled for the LAST SATURDAY of the month. patrons can also enjoy LIVE ENTERTAINMENT on THURSDAYS and FRIDAYS courtesy of Elsie Brightmore, our resident bard-tender.
OTHER NOTABLE FACTS :Â Â
the large bay window in the front of the establishment overlooks Northumberland Street and outdoor seating is available during the late spring and summer months.
the pub itself is just a short three-minute walk to the centre of Trafalgar Square! conveniently located for ease of access to the underground and easy enough for both locals and tourists to find.
the owner, Sebastian âBasherâ Moran, can usually be found at the corner of the bar readying his books for the upcoming fight night, behind the bar serving his regular patrons, at the bar, enjoying a few too many with friends and family, or downstairs in the centre of the ring which always proves a fight worth watching.
the kitchen manager, Eliot Spencer, has really brought what could only have been considered âusualâ pub food up to a five-star level. never let it be said that food at a pub, of all places, couldnât entice you alone!
if you need to step out for some air or a smoke, donât forget to chat with the bouncer, Bill OâConner, husband to manager Peg. donât let his imposing figure deter you, he is as quick with a joke as he is to break up a fight. youâll definitely want him on your side!
I just think Eliot should get to kick Moreau's ass. As a treat.

â Maybe going for a walk in a dog park was a bad idea⌠â

ââââ  @hittcrââ  asked  /    âhow did you find out?â
â the news. â   his voice is gravelly and echoes in the too-empty room.  hands shoved in the pouch of his black hoodie,  retirement garb heâs begun to don rather than trench coats.  he hadnât bothered to change ;  theyâd caught the first plane.Â
â  we always keep track of you,  that way.  through the headlines.  wake up to see a companyâs stock has crashed,  some big wigâs been arrested, we look for the signs you all were behind it.  theorize what cons you might have used.  but when we heard about the . . .  incident. â  mental olympics factored into careful word choice,  yet eyes still avert for fear his selection was still indelicate.    â well, we ------ the news is reporting it as an accident, of course, but . . .  â  he knows a botched job when he sees one,  having orchestrated more than his fair share.  eliot always was the first to call him out on that.Â
he isnât here to return the favor.  not exactly.  he fears too much for the wellbeing of the man in front of him to dabble in tough love techniques at present.    â   we couldnât get ahold of any any of your numbers,  any of you.  so we ---- we thought weâd come,  that even if itâs only half as bad as it seemed from the outside,  we could help. â

Zora grimaces at the confession that Eliot has been there for likely quite some time. Even better that they managed to find him, albeit with a little direction from one of his colleagues. âNo angel, Iâm afraid. Simply sent over by Hardison. Least I could do is get you out of here.â Immediately their eyes goes to where he was being locked and their motions go towards using the duplicate made in advance for this venture to break him out.
Of course, they are willing to use more unusual methods if it comes to it. But hopefully it doesnât. Less there be more explaining they they have the mind to do at that moment.
âWhat was he like, growing up?â Ezekiel is perched on the kitchen counter next to where Eliot is cooking, currently eating what remains of cookie dough out of the bowl. âJake, I mean.â Obviously.
