New HISverse Headcanon Post (because I haven't done on in a while): What if someone gave them a Furby?
I'm going to assume that this was a gift from Chihiro that Kiyotaka felt awkward about refusing because it would probably make her cry. And it's a "take an interest in his classmates' studies" thing for him because, y'know, Ultimate Programmer.
He grew up poor, so obviously, Taka has no concept of an electronic toy in his brain. It baffles him that despite being furry on the outside that it's a big hunk of heavy plastic under the skin.
When it first talks it scares the shit out of him and he drops it, which gets it stuck on a scream for a while, which stresses him out enough to make him burst into tears.
He first presents it to Yasuhiro to fix it because he's way better with tech than him. Hiro makes a show out of performing and exorcism, but all he does is take the batteries out.
It goes off in the middle of the night, but Taka sleeps like a rock, so it doesn't bother him. The Hagakures and other Ishimaru, however, are a different story.
Hiroko and Yasuhiro are the Mista and Narancia in this case. It brings out the old delinquent in Hiroko and the conspiracy theorist in Hiro (he thinks it's legit possessed) and they just start beating the fuck out of it.
Takaaki would wake up irritated and be like, "You two are going about this all wrong. Let me take care of it." And they're sorta winding down and say "Yeah sure go ahead." He leaves with it, and the Hagakures assume he's just putting it in the trash and are like "Yeah, maybe we did overreact a bit, huh?" Then they hear a gunshot. Turns out, Takaaki took it out back and put a bullet in its electronic brain. Rationalized as it being a threat to the public because it was keeping him up, which would cause him to perform poorly in the field.
When Taka wakes up in the morning and it's gone, he starts crying again. He thinks it didn't like him and ran away because he has no reference for how much a Furby is capable of.
