Premise: In a world with magic and dragons, there exists an assassin, code name 33, or "Mimi". She wears a coat with cat ears sewn into it and a tail is sewn into her pants. She appears before her targets and announces, "In a week, I will kill you." She then spends the week getting to know her targets and helping them so they die with no regrets.
This was very predictable. The plot goes exactly how you'd expect, except for maybe the last bit when the plot reaches a weird conclusion about assassins. But even that was fairly predictable when the plot really could have only gone one of two ways. If the writing was better, the predictability wouldn't have bothered me but it's a plain and standard writing style and I had difficulty picturing the setting and action scenes. Mimi is not a particularly interesting protagonist either.
This wasn't that bad of a book for the most part though. I didn't hate it. The ending knocked it down by a star for me, but I think if this kind of plot appeals to you, you might enjoy it. There's a sequel volume which I'm not going to bother with as the volume ends in a way where a sequel feels unnecessary.
