The Ishgardian Consulate Shirogane 4-59
Maybe it’s a symbol of the diplomatic efforts of a nation returning to the world after a war that defined an era. Maybe it’s a symbol of the determination of a small few Ishgardians to bringing what makes the Sky strong to the whole world. Maybe, just maybe... it’s where the Lords send folks they don’t want to deal with. It probably depends on who you ask.
Located outside the city proper of Kugane, in the forth subdivision of Shirogane, the Consulate is a pale shadow of Garlemald’s and Thavnair’s land. Very few coins from the Republic’s coffers flowed across the ocean, and fewer still resources, but the Foreign Minister, Iris Blanchimont, was not deterred!
The Consulate features a small, comfortable meeting space, a desk for Temple Leves to aide the Far East (and do odd jobs for the short-staffed Consulate), a small chapel to Halone the Fury and several offices and meeting rooms. It also boasts a state-of-the-art airship hanger and a chocobo pen cared for with love and grace by a squire of House Blanchimont, Rex.
It’s also armed to the teeth. A millennium of war will do that to you.
The new diplomatic mission is not without struggle, and has a lot to prove both to Hingashi and to the Lords back home. But as they reach out to the world, the goals, ambitions and hearts of Ishgard reach ever heavensward.
"Don't leave. Be mine. Always be mine." Toz’o pleaded.
“I’ll always be yours,” Rei said quietly, whispering in Toz’o’s ear, “And if I am not me…If I am lost forever--” the Keeper cut off the thought, his chest tightening with anxiety and dread. To mask it, he brought Toz’o closer to him, kissing him again to drown the thoughts and fears. “I love you,” he muttered between the kiss, “I don’t want you to lose me…”

This is a commission I got a few months back from Sinrid. This is like...my fourth or fifth commission from them and they never fail to impress me!

Headcanon ramble... on Rei’s hair!
I’ve always liked the hanfu, long hair aesthetic for Rei because the long hair isn’t like...a symbol of femininity or grace like it is in the western world. Nope! That shit is the sign of a warrior. Warriors and fighters had long hair. In some places in China, it was even illegal for warriors to cut their hair! That’s why I like it for Rei. I like to think it ads to his aesthetic, but also just...he’s a warrior. I wanted him to abandon some things regarding his father and his hair though and with the cursed weapon possession thing going on, him mistaking the white with his corrupted memories for him becoming an individual and moving on (rather than it being just part of the possession) was part of it. Rei’s hair is actually naturally brown. The long black was something his father (who died in December RP stuff) made him have. So his memories now are corrupt to think the natural color is white as the Ookami in the sword possesses him further.
Ugh I am gonna stop rambling and take that nap. I have some headcanon stuff I gotta type up later for the time skip that happened in RP anyways.
