An uninspired walk in uninspiring weather.
Today I nearly had to force myself to go outside. After yesterday's Foehn-storm it was not really advisable to go exploring in the woods, so I decided to take a walk along the river.
The trail along the river is not the most riveting trail even in spring, but right now it is downright drairy. The shrubbery separating the trail from the river is naked and looks dead, and the fields on the other side of the trail are empty.
Add the overcast sky, and the vibe was very November-y.
Walked distance: 11,3 km / 7 miles
Elevation gain: 165m / 540 ft (nearly none)
Today after work my mom picked me up and we walked around Fenton Park. It was windy and chilly, but it was a good walk and with the best company! More pics and videos of our adventures last weekend... At Point Lobos we were able to do some whale watching with some binoculars, borrowed from the ranger station! Matt and I each saw the whale spout water into the air and dive back down with a tale flip!!! Next time, I want to view whales on a boat tour so we can be closer up! We were also able to see some seals in the wild! They were so cute!
