I have a lukewarm take that 90% of tumblr will not care about.
alltrails isn't misinforming you a quarter of as bad or as often as you say it does. you just have no idea how to accurately tell the difficulty of a trail.

Experience the Narrows in Zion: Essential Gear and Hiking Tips
This is an old post about our hike to the Narrows in Zion National Park, Utah. During our time there, we hiked Riverside Walk, a small, 2-mile paved trail that runs parallel to the Virgin River. The end of the riverside walk marks the start of the Narrows hike, one of the parkβs most famous attractions. We noticed a decent crowd coming from the river end, wearing similar kinds of shoes and tops.β¦
So AllTrails is continuing to take away perks from their paid membership and making those perks more expensive... While attempting to do the AT, I was using the map on AllTrails because I didn't have access to a physical map, and it kept glitching on me. Like, I've walked a mile and it shows I'm still at my car kinda glitching, or not showing distance or elevation gain, or pausing itself and showing that I've gone 0.2 miles when I've gone like 0.9... Then I'm looking at the app and seeing that all the shit I'm paying for (stats on how far you've walked per month/year in specific) are now gonna cost me double to view; the only thing still available is offline maps, and those only work 1/4 of the time right now anyway. So I emailed their people saying the app is broken, that it's not my phone because people on reddit are bitching about the same, and that I don't agree with them continuing to raise prices while refusing to fix major issues with the app. Dude (if it was a dude and not ai) completely ignores what I'm saying, sends me info on how to download a map offline instead. So I said, "Bro, if y'all aren't gonna fix shit and also won't pay attention to issues people are having with the app, can I just get my money back? Paying for a broken app is silly." And like... they refunded my roughly $40. Was not expecting that. Kinda said it as a way to get them to pay attention to the fact that the app wasn't working for shit and I'm tired of emailing about issues I'm having, but they said "bet" and gave that shit right back. So like. AllTrails doesn't give two shits about their broken as fuck app, I guess. They'd rather refund money than fix their shit.
Anyway. What's a good alternative that isn't $1000 and doesn't crash every half a mile?

The summer residence of the Qing dynasty's royal family is a must visit and the gardens are something to marvel at. The loop is relatively easy and one can take a leisurely boat ride afterwards during golden hour. Please remember to stop and view the lotus plants in the lake. Enjoy afternoon tea after walking the park and admiring the blue and white chinoiserie. The gift shop sells small chinoiserie knickknacks that you can purchase to remember your trip for a lifetime.
Hiking this trail makes you feel like you are venturing back in ancient history on the silk road. The Great Wall of China is one of the wonders of the world. The craftsmanship is astounding and the views are exceptional. One can see the mountains and the lush nature with the remarkable engineering of the fortress. The design and architecture were to prevent the Mongols and invaders, but it showed strength, ambition, and power. It was built to withstand the test of time.
