1. Sweep or vacuum up any debris.

2. Do a good deep cleaning of the wood floor before you begin waxing.

3. Once the floor is dry spread the wax in an even, thin layer across the floor. Let this dry for the amount of time specified by your brand of wax.

4. Apply another coat of wax once the first has dried.

Most hardwood floors will only need to be waxed twice a year.
