As much as I’m somewhat reluctant to admit it, I do. I’ve been hurt, I’ve been betrayed, I’ve been lied to. It’s hard for me to let people in. I often put on a front where I’m super vulnerable about things and it seems like I’m trusting but really it’s that you can’t hurt me if it’s all on the table for everyone. But when I do trust someone, when they earn that trust (and it’s something that is continually earned and maintained imo) I become so very genuinely soft with them. I stop talking all at once and can appreciate the quiet moments more.
