When it came to creating a tom sound, it tended to be a lot easier then creating both snare and hi-hat. Firstly I set the voice mode to retrigger and oscillator one to single. All that I did to the patch was add a second envelope that would control the tuning of oscillator one and put the parameters as a slight attack, fair bit of delay and a little bit of release. This would create the realistic sound of a high tom.
