Just flashbacked to the moment in high school when i lost faith in my own generation. For my english class senior year, we had a multimedia project assignment and we could pick the subject. I chose to give a crash course on Little Dancers. One sections was highlighting Maddie Ziegler, who is the girl who dances in Sia's music videos. On one slide I had some shots from her dances on Dance Moms, but I knew I had to include some shots of the Sia videos, so I did that on the next slide. Well in the Sia videos, Maddie wears nothing but a nude leotard and a wig. And in one of them she dances with a man (I wanna say it's Shia Lebouf? Idk I don't remember). But they were from pretty popular music videos right? So imagine my surprise when I got to that slide and people started commenting lewd and rude things. Imagine my surprise when my female teacher said nothing about the fact that my classmates were sexualizing a girl who was like 11. Imagine their surprise when I called them pedophiles. And imagine my surprise when I was the one who got in trouble.
