Part #2: Process continues as I cleared out excessive wires, installed new Prototype X Custom harnesses. Tuned the Hifonics Amplifiers. Ran the system for 1/2 an hour at moderate volume making sure everything ran correctly. This system turned out to be a serious competitor “Loud & Clear”! Definitely ready for some competition now. Todays challenge! Had to clean up a family member’s System. this monstrosity was installed by someone else’s. The car arrived with no speakers working, Hifonics Amplifiers did not light 💡 up. I found the Lightning Capacitor with lose cables, excessive speaker wires spliced and crimped beyond the ohm load of the amp. Blue speaker wires set up looking like some rats nest. Also inspected the RCA behind the crossover and found the subwoofers output plugged incorrectly. It was all mounted in a small space. Had to take all that blue speaker wires out, untangle the power and ground cables and create (2) Prototype X: H8 & (2) Prototype X: H5 harnesses to wire (4) 6-1/2”, (4) 8” DS18 Full range speakers with (4) Audiopipe tweeters. #audiopipe #ds18 #hifonics #prototypexllc here are some pictures of the breakdown and Rewire!
