So a week or two ago I saw a picture that inspired me to dig a little bit into Faysalโs background.ย While in the novel it comes up indirectly that his parentโs are seperated/divorced, it never is really explicitly talked about.ย As such, I ended up getting the idea to draw out what a night might have looked like in Faysalโs youth when he was just trying to get through one of his familyโs arguments while trying to keep his younger sister happy and distracted so she wouldnโt have to suffer like he was.
Thus, this drawing was born where we see a baybeh Faysal sitting with an actual baybeh Jessica, trying to just watch TV and ignore the conflict going on outside of his bedroom door.
Perhaps Iโll get a chance to explore more of his history, either in the current WIP novel or in a future WIP, but getting some insight into his past is creating for some interesting food for thought as Iโm writing the current story he is in.
Wanted to experiment a bit with creating a comic or manga page of one of the scenes in Hidden Report.ย Itโs missing a few frames it likely needs, but Iโm not there yet with my drawing skills, ha!
