My spoiler free review of The Trials of Apollo, The Hidden Oracle By Rick Riordan Cover Love: 4/5 Blue and Orange happen to be my favourite colours so that may have something to do with it, but I loved this cover and spine. I enjoyed that both the immortal and mortal version of Apollo were featured, as well as the ally where it all started. I also found the font and seal very eye catching as you pass by. World Creation: 5/5 Rick Riordan has created a masterpiece of a world surrounding the demigods and Gods, and this book is just more of that awesomeness. I definitely want to tell you that you should read his other completed series if you are a worrier of spoilers because this book takes place after those. The way Rick adapted ancient Gods and their stories to modern day times is creative in a way you don't see too often these days. The hallmark of a good must read author. Author Style: 4/5 Rick Riordan always makes me LOL with his witty sassy comments. I find them like little gems and put a sticky on them to be able to come back later to enjoy them again. "His job would be to shimmy back and forth and wave his hands, which he did with the enthusiasm of a tent-revival preacher" Tent-revival preacher!?! If that doesn't put a picture in your head and make you lol'd you're much too serious for me. OTP: 3/5 I loved Will and Nico. They had a lot of cute interactions in this story, I was just sad that we didn't see more of them. I'm sure there will be more of them in the future though. Characters: 4/5 Apollo was the perfect narrator for this story. His dual type personality of a mortal and immortal led to so many interesting character developments over the course of the story. I loved how he grew as teenage boy, as a friend and even as a father and I am eager for book two. Rick Riordan has produced yet another must read book that anyone from middle grade to adult can enjoy. Read it, Love it, Thank me later 😉
