Final film in trilogy opens in 2021 after delay from 2019
Interesting! Let's see how HE3 turns out.
UHM. PLEASE EXPLAIN WHAT HAPPENED IN HIEVO2???? like was everything from E7 onwards a dream? Is this an alternate reality created by the scub??? is AO even real? I’ve been an E7 fan for literal years and I cried at the end of the movie and I need someone to help me process these emotions :’)
I've only watched it once but I hope to rewatch it again soon to build a more detailed/structured understanding of what happened, but I can at least say that E7 and AO were not dreams, they absolutely did happen. Here's what I got from such sequences: (SPOILERS AHEAD FOR HI EVO 2)
So, we know that Eureka was 'creating dreams' in order to try and get her Renton back. These dreams were windows into alternate universes (E7's universe, Ao's world, Pocket Full of Rainbows, the manga etc) which I understood still exist. What Eureka was doing was using the power of the Silver Box weapon (we're not given a full explanation of what it can do, but I think its ability to connect with the Scabs power allows intra-universe travel, depending on who's exposed to it) to 'travel' to these worlds, similar to Anemone's ability. Acperience is also key here, but I cant give a full explanation on that yet. 😅
Because the audience understands the timeline of events that happen in E7/AO/Manga etc, we know that what happens in Hi Evo 2 is different. I believe it doesnt change the course of events in the main timeline of these worlds: rather, it creates a separate timeline in the world. It pretty much creates a separate universe because it's a totally new timeline. And the audience understands split timelines are possible now, because Hi Evo 2 Eureka lost her Renton in the same Acperience scene as Hi Evo 1. We know that, in the original timeline of Hi Evo 1, Renton lives. So the loss of her Renton is a separate timeline. Even Hi Evo 2 Dewey is from a totally different world than that of Hi Evo 2!
But perhaps theres more to this split timeline of Eureka's? Because we do see 'a' Renton in the end. But from what universe? Potentially Hi Evo 2 Eureka's timeline, because the Nirvash Z can sense him. I think we'll get more of an explanation in Hi Evo 3! Feels like that's the direction the movie series is taking anyways.
Tldr; I believe that the worlds/universes still exist as they do, but Hi Evo 2's Eureka trying to visit these worlds and change them to get her Renton back created a split timeline for each world.
Anemone: Eureka Seven Hi-Evolution.
1/5. If anything, it's a hell lot better than the first movie in the series. Still not really saying much.
There's an attempt at telling a story. There's an attempt with plot. An attempt with character arcs. By semi-changing the mythos of Eureka Seven. It's fucking weird.
The worst part is that I couldn't bring myself to care about anything that went on in the movie. Everything rang shallow.
Looking forward to watching Hi Evolution 2 today!

Eureka gets pretty scary in the new film 0_0
My copy of “Anemone: Eureka Seven Hi-Evolution” came surprisingly early! It came with a slipcase and this awesome print by Kenichi Yoshida! I love it so much!
what's the size of the nirvash variants? for example the spec V3 from ESAO or his equals on the movie and the tv series i just have seen the size of the original and the nirvash X
Hello! Very sorry for my delayed answer.
I can’t recall if we’ve ever gotten a definitive size for all of the mechs - even on the archived websites for the franchise. I do, however, know that we have a size comparison between many different mechs across the series (including Nirvash’s variants) in the Anemone: Hi Evo sheet book. I’ve included a scan from the page in question from my copy below:
So we can see that:
-the Nirvash Spec 2 is closer to 20 m in height
-the Spec 1 is maybe 16 or 17 m in height
-the Nirvash Z is closer to 60 m in height
-and the Nirvash X is just above 200m in height
Type theEND’s sizes are also there as well, though I assumed you just meant the typeZERO from the Nirvash line.
Hope that helps!
