(Full name Maia Juni Button; we had a hard time deciding! Her name is space themed like our herd + Norse name like Thurston + rescue name.) ✨

We are so excited to announce this teeny lady is the latest addition to the Gaynea Pig fam. We have always been passively searching for a friend for Thurston; and @leapsandsqueaks girlie Button was the perfect match. 🐾

I am pretty certain Thurston has a deep-rooted love/hate relationship with Anakin.

While we see depictions of love here (this was a year and a half ago; he’s so young! 😭), he often opts to knock all the Anakin things off of shelves. It’s always Anakins! I once found my Force ghost bitty Anakin in his lair lol. I don’t know what the fascination is, but I can certainly understand it, as I’m sure you can as well lol 💕

As for fic, I had some serious momentum on my obikin 90s AU for a while there, but I am currently at a road block 😔 Idk if it’s the story, or just life circumstances right now, but I hope I can get back to it. The story is at a point where the drama is about to take place, but I need some filler chapters first. Their relationship needs to be more established before things go to sh!t 😅 So, I am just trying to plot some random 90s themed happy things that have not yet all come to me in a nice, flowing, working order. Ugh. I really want to work on it. Because writing is really the only way I can completely shut my brain off as far as real life troubles ❤️‍🩹

Dance off. Visualize this:

Hondo being a VERY average, but very enthusiastic dancer who is always trying to get Obi-Wan to join in. And Obi-Wan always refuses.

This leads to the belief that Obi-Wan must be hiding the fact that he’s a terrible dancer. So, Hondo, and others, poke and push and ridicule, but Obi-Wan will never dance, not because he’s not good, but because he just “doesn’t want to.”

THEN, one wild, drunken night, FINALLY, Hondo gets Obi-Wan out on the dance floor. Everyone holds their breath, waiting to behold what might be a lifelong suppressed talent. They may all soon witness a movie-like plot twist that is about to change life as they know it!

THEN, Obi-Wan moves.

And he sucks. He sucks so bad 😆 (this is probably Anakin’s pov, I’m realizing), but he thinks he is good, and he’s having a blast, and that’s all that matters.

So, even as average as he is, Honda wins this dance off, but the winner is never publicly declared. Because no one wants to discourage Obi-Wan from letting loose like this again. And from then on, Obi-Wan is more inclined to cut a rug with the others when the opportunity presents itself ❤️

Usually I just drop him off at the vet the night before his dental surgeries, but I was worried about how much weight he had lost in the past two weeks. It was about 100 grams more than he usually drops when he starts to struggle with eating due to his overgrown molars. The vet examined him; we're hoping it was a fluke and the weight loss is still just related to him needing his teeth trimmed again.

This guy really pulls at my heartstrings. It was a struggle to have the vet take a look at him because he absolutely did NOT want me to put him down. 🥹😭

Once he sobers up, I'm sure he'll be thrilled by a week of Critical Care and extra *extra* cuddles. ❤️

I feel most cats would’ve just slept, but this is such a nervous cat that it took him down to a normal cat level! It’s been hours, and he’s not slept at all, but is instead being super lovey dovey and fearlessly curious!
