Harmonium (Kôji Fukada, 2016)

“Such film festival movie” a friend said, I don’t believe on those types of rating for films, since the last holiday when I’ve spent most of the time watching films reaching the number of 34 if I decided to rematch a movie is because it should have something “épostuflant”. I’ve seen this family drama twice.

This film functions as a portrait of a modern Japanese family in which the audience would be either take to the edge of her seats or to the bay of sleep. With minimalism and a slow rhyme Fukada goes deep and offers us the story of how the fade of a family is disturbed by the past personified by the arrival of an old friend.
