While Scarlet Witch is fighting Hexfinder the evil sorceress, Darcy Lewis is trying to convince Joseph the Magneto clone (who had been a pawn of Hexfinder) to be on their side but he still hesitates as he couldn't decide whether to get involved or not. Scarlet Witch and Hexfinder are still fighting in their long hard battle with their magic. Then, Scarlet Witch is starting to lose in battle when her body gets turned into gold by Hexfinder who tries to suffocate her. Just before Hexfinder could finish her off, Scarlet Witch gets pulled away just in time by an unknown force. It turns out that Joseph had managed to wake up from the brainwashing as he helps Scarlet Witch out of the gold casing. Scarlet Witch tries to get her upper hand on Hexfinder but it's too equally-matched for her. Hexfinder freezes and tries to poison Scarlet Witch but Joseph stops her from doing it by shattering the Mysterium barrier. As Joseph lays down exhausted and weak to move, Hexfinder tries to kill him but Scarlet Witch stops her from doing it. Hexfinder teleports away bitterly in defeat. The battle is over, Scarlet Witch has won but Joseph lays dying from wounds and exhaustion.
