Well... Battletech the game is coming out tomorrow and Mechwarrior 5 was announced a while back with some alpha footage!?
I was out of it for a while because all my Battletech buddies just stopped playing anything Battletech related and I had gone off to other games.
Well I’m back here because I found a group that so far has kept to the monthly schedule so I have a few quick AARs I need to get written up and posted but until then... some work I have done for our sessions!

Dude hasn’t posted since 2016... so maybe if enough people start commenting and throwing money at him he’ll do a bunch of sheets for roads??
I have been buying some laser cut 1.25″ wood hexes that were originally going to be bases for my miniatures then i realized that I could make double sided hex counters with them...
and terrain! Just requires some glue to make it nicely functional.
But who cares about only functional?! I found a spray paint that adds a sand like texture so I have some nicely textured hex based terrain!
Also pictured are some soft targets for people to shoot at.
You’ll see the evolution of our battlefields as time goes on through the posted pictures. The fully painted terrain and trucks only showed up in the latest mission, I have been slowly phasing out the hexpack map tiles for the custom terrain because battletech official maps aren’t truely 1.25″ wide hexes as I discovered when I used this awesome roll out map https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01FY6YTEW/ which helps make battles feel more epic and less claustrophobic.
