"Alright, explanation time. Regarding what's going on in Turkey right now.

We've been seeing some riots since, roughly/mainly, May 2013 and it's getting worse these days.

There has been protests. Every kind of protests. And people have died. The police attacked protesters with the order of the government.

There was this 14 year old boy, Berkin Elvan, who had been injured during a protest and in coma since June. He passed away on March 11.

And we lost our shit because CHILDREN MATTER. An innocent boy was killed on the way to buy a loaf of bread. He weighed 15 kg when he died.

And the protests and conflicts have risen up again. Worse. People are getting hurt and killed again.

While some people are mourning the youth we've lost, the others are misinterpreting things and provocating. You couldn't believe them.

This is why I haven't been active. This is some damn serious thing going down here. And we're having elections soon, so it's real trouble.

So yes, in short, this is what's going on. Deep shit. Your friendly neighbourhood Turk reported from Istanbul.

Mainstream media isn't objective and completely helping either. That's why I get my information online.

Even during the protests out of the country, like that in Paris, the police interfered -if that's the right word to use-. the protesters,-

-which is probably why there isn't much reporting in other countries.

There's too much to say, too much to see for yourself, actually. So I'm stopping this explanation here. Take care of yourselves.

So, it's come to my attention that there's childish anon hate being sent to Alexis (@Actually_Amelia), Kat, (@ActualRome), Bella (@Actually_Spain) and of their friends as well, thinking we're in some sort of clique, so allow me to explain. You see, often when the "clique" accusation comes out, it's because of the fact you see a specific group of roleplayers only roleplaying with another member in the so-called "clique", thus giving you this idea that we are, and this is not the case. It's a sense of being comfortable roleplaying. I usually roleplay with the three I mentioned because fo the fact that I feel comfortable doing so. That isn't to say that I will not roleplay with others, because that is not true. I wonder why it is so painfully childish of you anons to send hate over something you don't understand? So what if we have a plethora of followers? We do not control them. We do not force them to follow us, and I pity you all if you have thought this way. Have you ever taken into account that, I don't know, they might actually LIKE us? Oh no, all you are thinking about is "oh, so many followers", "oh so popular, they probably don't roleplay with newbies". Ahem, Wrong. I roleplay with anyone who wants to roleplay with me. There is no "clique", it is just a group of roleplayers that feel comfortable roleplaying with one another.
