Segla by Marco Battini Taken shortly after Sunrise on an early morning Hike to the top of Hesten, on the Norwegian island of Senja. This was my very first hike on the Island of Senja, and I was so impressed with the views from the cliffs I hiked it twice on the same day. At sunrise first, and again at Sunset- after a quick nap and a very good portion of fried cod at the local pub. After a longer photo session we then sat down and ate our lunch. The way down turned out to be even more difficult because it was so slippery. We slid down half the mountain when suddenly water started entering our shoes. From here on it was quite nasty with these wet shoes. But soon we arrived back at the van. Although we were hungry we decided to leave Senja as we needed some groceries. This night we will spend the night at a big gravel parking lot out in  nowhere. It seems pretty quiet here.
