Providing late autumn colour are the flowers of Hesperantha coccinea 'Major' (crimson flag lily, Schizostylis). This is a vigorous form of this clump-forming perennial and produces these cherry-red flowers. Plants need moisture all summer but also warmth to encourage early flowering.
