she’s actually woken up by the loud noises. it makes her jump, after everything that had gone on the night before. she’s fucking exhausting, and her body aches, and she still has plenty of emotions to deal with. she wants to turn and ask julian what’s going on but… apparently he was already up. so she goes to the window.

it’s not long before she’s getting up. she has no suit to put on, but she does send a quick text to someone who does. she’s trying not to worry, but he’s not the kind to just disappear like that. maybe he’s already out doing the whole hero thing.

The lack of decorum is definitely noted, though ultimatley Evelyn won't hold it against him given the way Julian so evidently enjoys the food.

the intent of being at his place was innocent, actually. her phone was missing, and his place was one of very few other places that she spent a lot of time. it was easy to put together. she just wanted to get in, grab it, and get out. it was in the middle of that plan that he decided to show up, suit and all, and... pass out.

"uh. i mean, i guess i'm always hungry." his suit is folded and sitting on one of the chairs in the room. considering he had passed the fuck out, she had wanted to check and make sure he wasn't dying, and get him some better clothes. could she have taken to a hospital? maybe. but she did not want him to end up a lab rat, so, no fucking way.

If it were anyone else, she would’ve kicked the phone out of their hand. But when she sees Julian pointing it in her direction as she gets a big gulp right from the keg? Well, she gives him a big thumbs up. This leads to her laughing, which leads to her almost choking. She’s quick to step out of the way, a mixture of coughing and laughing taking her over for a minute.

Rain had done a pretty good job at sitting there, letting him draw whatever he wanted on her skin. The hardest part, actually, had been keeping her head turned away. She'd promised that she wouldn't look until he was done, and pretty much the second he had started, she had immediately regretted that. But she still listened, only occasionally acting as if she were going to peak to tease him.

(He might be the only person in the world who can actually tell her what to do.)

She has no clue how much time passes until he's done, only that she moves her head so quickly it almost hurts when he gives the okay. Immediately, she gasps, recognizing what he's made almost immediately. "Julian..." She mumbles, her eyes getting a bit glossy.

She has to force the words out of her mouth. It’s not Julian in front of her, but she just can’t kick that connection to him. She’s only ever rarely felt something so deep, and she’s desperate not to lose it. Desperate to cling onto whatever piece of him might be left. If there’s any.

give ted a chance to look through the silverware drawer, and realize that no, there is not a single fork to be found. this does not make any sense, because he had quite the collection. he took his kitchenware quite seriously, even though he hadn't been using much of it himself lately. (and no, he did not count a straw in a blood bag.)

his timing was kind of perfect. just as she had been getting her stuff and getting ready to leave work, there comes julian. her face kind of hurts from how hard she’s smiling. he had asked how long her shift was the night before, and she hadn’t thought much of it. until now.
