A few years ago when we were in Washington state and we had the opportunity to train with K-9 Ice of the US Forest Service. We met Ice and his handler at the 2017 Hero Dog Awards after he won the Law Enforcement category. Ice and his handler were apprehending an armed suspect deep in the forest when Ice was stabbed multiple times including his face.
