each hermitcraft season has a slight theme i’ve noticed, and i think its pretty much settled that season 10 is just government officials and their shenanigans. grian as the permit officer, skizz and scar as cops, bdubs as a judge (jury and executioner), and the post office trio.

Hermitcraft prison au, what is it?
So the idea is the Hermmitcraft server is a prison, filled with the most dangerous criminals in minecraft.
No one can anter, no one can exit, the only player inside who isn't a criminal is Xisuma, who's the admin and the warden. Pix, Sloy and Lyarrah are guards, charged with writing the weekly reporta on the goings on of the server.
The hermits aren't supposed to remember why they're there, all they know is that they've been invited to this incredibly exclusive server to make friends and have a good time. They don't remember their crimes, the trial, nothing.
Unless they do, like Doc who remembers outside the server because his cyborg bits make it hard for a proper memory wipe. Grian doesn't know fully, but he knows what it's like to feel watched and he knows that if he wanted to leave he couldn't because there's no log out button. But this is few and far between, for the most part everyone is unaware they they're prisoners and if someone brought it up it'd be laughed off.
They have an entire server so that they can't terrorize other servers. They're all friends, wars are just games, there are no long-term grudges Grian sure does have a knack for starting wars huh? Who'd want to leave the server when they have everything they could ever want? There's no logout button. The server restarts are so we don't get bored. What happens when you get bored?
