An afternoon of true herbal enjoyment. I ran a workshop 'Safe & Simple Herbal Medicine for Animals' for 8 lovely people, 23 wanted to attend but 8 is a nicer number 😊. There were 3 cats and 7 dogs present along with 3 lavender pekins who were adamant part of the afternoon should be dedicated to them! Everyone enjoyed making a herbal product tailored to a specific animal at home. A lovely way to spend a Friday afternoon. I don't need to advertise herbal wprkshops as they're always oversubscribed, but if you'd like me to pop your name down for a future workshop do dm me 😊. What a wonderfully successful day, albeit too hot at 29 degrees. My talk on herbal medicine for dogs was well received by 4 Vets, 2 nurses, and 2 guys on placements. 1 hours worth of interesting questions were answered afterwards and I even surprised myself at remembering the active roles of terpenoids and saponins and the herbs that contain them 😊. I was gifted a wonderful book on Dartmoor by one of the vets! He popped home to get it for me 😊 I then ate my cous cous and bean burger lunch on Aldeburgh beach. I decided to call in at Shape Maltings as I had half an hour to kill before my first animal herbal consultation - I wish I hadn't bothered. What a place of negative energy - I felt not only from the location, but also the fact that every shelf in every shop read 'you are on CCTV', then the 'no picnics' sinage, along with 'no dogs here' 'no parking there'.....no smiles from any assistants either. I shall not return. Very pretentious and unfriendly. I shall rename it 'Snipe Faultings'. My 3 client herbal consultations went very well so tomorrow I'll be making bespoke canine herbal remedies for each of them.
