          muffled knocks rouse jessica from her drunken slumber. she stumbles from her           bed & braces herself against the bedside desk where her clock sits. struggling           to read it, she eventually makes out the time -- two in the afternoon.           way earlier than she’s used to waking up. 

          a low groan crawls from her throat, beautiful eyes roll back into her skull.           nobody has an appointment with her today & anyone that considers her a           friend know that she wakes up late. her head swivels on that swan-like           neck, then she snags the first shirt she sees. answering the door topless           probably wouldn’t go over well with whoever is on the other side.
