okay so i was thinking of alicehenry (because of course i am) and the photograph. yk the one henry has on his desk, the one of both of them on the stage?

i’m just imaging younger henry with his huge crush on alice printing that photo (and even making the effort of laminating it) with pink ears and thinking he’s being irrational and unlike himself but still going along with it. going to his dorm later on and just staring at the picture and about where he should put it. eventually settling on taping it on his desk where he can always always see it. so now when he studies he always has his motivation?!!?? there!! which is alice!! and him!! kabsebbs HE’S ALSO HAD IT FOR YEARS!

i also wonder if they ever talk about it again. and how that conversation goes.

We've made it to Odessa -- the last stop of my trip, but just halfway for the rest of the gang. Pulled in by bus, five hours of bumpy road from Chisinau. Our time in Chisinau was wonderful. Megan's dad's contacts took amazing care of us, hosting and driving and feeding us. We visited a fantastic monastery built on and in a limestone cliff, and sampled a variety of Moldovan foods. (We also just opened a Moldovan wine -- named Purcari -- here in our Odessan apartment and it... is... amazing. The Queen of England purchases Purcari wine!)

Last night we were taken around to so many smoky bars and clubs in Chisinau... by crazy drivers on crazy streets. We made many new friends.

Tonight we went out for St. Patrick's day at the only Irish pub we could find in Odessa, to get Irish car bombs. And McDonald's because it was the only open food place we could find. Sigh. And then more Irish cat bombs.

Now we are drunk.
