“How have I not seen a pub pic yet?” I sent on Whatsapp. A few minutes later a pic of two beers on a table popped up. “Where” I replied and then I got a proper pub pic.
The Engineers Arms in Henlow is one of my favorite pubs and pubs are my favorite places for the most part. I watched a documentary the other night about Irish Pubs and I was mesmerized. The documentary barely mentioned beer and that’s the right of it. The best pubs aren’t about beer they’re about drinking beer with friends, regulars (bar friends), and those who happen in.
The disarray of empty casks might lead you to think he sent me a pic of around back but not so. This is the sidewalk of the High Street and when I think of the Engineers, this is how I remember it.
