Mike Volz picked up his Hemi Satellite from the original owner’s estate sale back in 2014, and what immediately caught his eye was how original the car was—just one repaint in its entire life. At the time, the original engine was down and out, suffering from a flat cam and several cracked pistons thanks to its street racing days back in the ‘70s and ‘80s.
What made this project really worth diving into for Mike was that all the original parts swapped out for the car's racing setup were kept and came with it. It had been outfitted with a tunnel ram, a massive scooped hood (the original hood was included), headers, and a bunch of other performance mods. He ended up stripping those aftermarket parts and putting everything back to stock, bringing the car back to its roots.
