Saturday, June 27th we will descend upon the outstanding Gilmore Car Museum in Hickory Corners, Michigan for our annual MCACN Real Performance Meetup, aka the RPM! The Gilmore is our Co-Host and they are located midway between Chicago and Detroit. Believe me....this is well worth the drive and a great place to spend the day with the family.

We have a blast at this one; a beautiful setting, casual non judged atmosphere, slot car racing, live music, great food, a variety of Pick awards and of course, one of the absolute best car museums in the world. And this event is for ALL makes and models, cars and trucks.

1967 Ford Fairlane – Built to Drive, Built to Thrill

This ‘67 Fairlane is the second of three cars in the lineup Jamie Cooper registered, and it’s a special one. The owner, a true enthusiast with a collection of beautifully restored classics, wanted this car to be different—not just a showpiece, but something he could drive and enjoy.

At the heart of the build is a legendary 427 SOHC (Cammer) that the owner had and wanted to see come alive in this project. To make it road-friendly and truly fun behind the wheel, they paired the big-block beast with a Tremec TKX 5-speed transmission, offering smooth shifting and a highway-friendly overdrive gear.

Out back, GearFX built a Moser 4.10 rear end, and they tied it together with a 4-link rear suspension setup for traction and control. Up front, the steering and suspension were completely updated using a TCI front clip, giving the Fairlane modern handling to match its raw power.
